This week I taught with a focus on alignment. We combined last week’s focus of bringing attention to the base of the pose with this awareness of alignment during parts of the class. Here’s the basic sequence:
Swastikasana/Virasana
Adho Mukha Svanasana
Using the edge of the mat as a guide and to check the alignment, we did these three standing poses:
Trikonasana
Virabhadrasana II
Parsvakonasana
Uttanasana
supta padangustasana
Urdhva Prasarita Padasana
Sirsasana (Intermediate class only)
Salamba Sarvangasana (not in the beginning classes)
Savasana
